In short…
BK Book Lounge is the official home, my prime real estate on the web, specifically created for readers of my books.
With the evolving climate of social media and the internet it has always been a priority to carve out my space on the web. The end goal is to be truly independent, self-reliant, and creative right down to the foundation and bones of the Brookelyn Mosley brand.
I’ve used several online spaces from the start of my self-publishing journey, and I am thankful I’ve been able to access those spaces offered. Through those online spaces, I’ve been able to connect with readers who would’ve never known I existed. When I first started as a new author, I didn’t know what I was doing. Like, I literally did not!
I knew I needed to build a platform but didn’t really know what building a platform really entailed, even after reading SEVERAL books on the topic. After 6-years in self-publishing, I can confidently say I get it now lol and with that, I’ve learned my focus must shift to staying long in spaces where I belong.
And what better space to be long in than a space created by me?
I’m a builder. I enjoy starting at square one with a vision of what I want the finished product to be. My motivation is the vision, and BKBL is a vision I’m more than happy to see come to life.
Any and everything pertaining to my stories, from a character and setting glossary, storyboards, and glimpses (flash in and outs of previously published character lives post-the end, told in third-person perspective), BK Book Lounge is a Brookelynite’s reading nook and online reference guide on the web.
My purpose as a storyteller moving forward is to continue to tell stories relevant to the times and to my readers, and to delight the readers who love my books, whether that be through words, video, audio, or photos.
The first ever glimpse is live, and it was only right to check in on the very first couple that started my self-publishing journey, Lila & Manny from the No Fraternizing series.
